Welcome to Craft SA. We have been sourcing indigenous product from all over Southern Africa for wholesale and retail to the public.

Craft SA was founded in 1996. While traveling Africa and in particular South Africa, the idea of developing local traditional skills and crafts were born. We started a workshop in conjunction with local people and translated art and craft from over Africa in contemporary and functional products.

We took traditional skills and very little knowledge, applied it in a modern idiom and this resulted in a commercially viable product - each item a unique original artwork, made by an individual person, using their own imagination.

The vision of Craft SA is to empower individuals to realize their own creativity as well as to open markets to artists and crafters. Skills training and product development has been a large part of Craft SA.

We are proud to say that all our products are handmade and hand carved by people who love what they do. Our range has been exported all over the world and our bowls and baskets are a regular item on the shelves of the prestige shop in London, Liberty’s.

Our local cliental include Loads of Living, Stuttafords, Woolworths, Top Galleries and other prestige stores.
